Led by National Defense Secretary Delfin N Lorenzana, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council convened its First Full Council for 2021 today, 19 February 2021 to discuss updates on the Tropical Storm (TS) AURING, La Niña, the volcano situation, and other ongoing disaster management initiatives.



Following the widespread damages brought by Typhoon “QUINTA,” “ROLLY,” and “ULYSSES,” the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council gathered its full council today in an emergency meeting to discuss the impacts of the recent typhoons, the declaration of state of calamity, and the early recovery actions.



NDRRMC Executive Director and Civil Defense Administrator, Usec Ricardo B Jalad, expresses support to the 2020 Observance of the World Tsunami Awareness Day and affirms commitment to the strengthening of preparedness against the threat of Tsunami to coastal communities in the archipelago. #WTAD2020 #TsunamiResilience
