The Office of Civil Defense continues to receive various donations in support of government response to COVID-19 situation.
Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana, chair of National Task Force against COVID-19, Peace Process Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr., chief implementer of NTF, and Undersecretary Ricardo Jalad received today, April 9, 2020, the 150,000 face masks donation from Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce (Phil) Inc. in Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City.
From March 24, 2020 to April 8, 2020, OCD received 720 bottled water from Maynilad; 10 gallons of 20 liters disinfectant alcohol from San Miguel Corporation; 50,000 surgical masks, 1,000 KN95 masks, 10,000 shoe covers, 10,000 raincoats, 5,000 Personal Protective Equipment suits, 10,000 surgical gloves, 878 alcohol gallons, and 584,756 monetary donation from SM Foundation; 10,000 bottled water from Pepsi Corporation; 10,000 camsterile gloves, 75,600 surgical face masks, and 500 non-sterile protective suit from Chinese businessmen; 2,000 surgical face masks and 28 sacks of 25 kilograms rice from Fastel Service Inc.; 120,960 bottled water from Nature’s Spring Water; and 100 surgical face masks from Trend Micro.
“We are grateful to receive donations from the private sectors. All donations received and to be received by the agency will be distributed to appropriate recipients,” Jalad said.
The agency has been distributing donations it received from various donors. Donated PPEs are being turned over to various hospitals within and outside Metro Manila.
