Bukidnon, the largest province in Region 10 in terms of land area, is rich in diverse natural resources and is considered the food basket in Mindanao. The Annual Kaamulan is an ethnic festival of thanksgiving for good harvest and a showcase of the indigenous culture of the Province. The Provincial Tourism Office is the overall coordinator of this year's festival.

The highlight of the activity is the street-dancing competition with 11 contingents coming from the Bukidnon municipalities representing the different tribal groups in the Province. Each contingent showcased their unique culture and tradition through dance, music, and their intricately woven costumes. An estimated crowd of 10,000 joined the festivity.

The City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office of Malaybalay headed by Hon. Ignacio Zubiri through their DRRM Officer Mr. Alan J. Comiso provided assistance to the public, their LGU, being the host of the said festival.

LDRRM personnel and responders of Malaybalay City, Pangantucan, and Kibawe, personnel from PNP, BFP, DOH, Philippine Army, PRC, Traffic Management Center, Area Coordination Emergency Response (ACER), Malaybalay BDRRMC Responders, Brgy Public Safety Officers, Doctors/Nurses from the Provincial Medical Center, NSTP volunteers from Bukidnon State University, Kabalikat Radio Com, and REACT are prepositioned to strategic areas for the provision of first aid treatment, road traffic management, information, and communication assistance.

Office of Civil Defense 10 Regional Director and Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council Chairperson Dir. Ana C. Caneda led the monitoring team in ensuring that all assets are prepositioned should there be any untoward incident.
